Alcoholism contributed to Elizabeth Peña’s death

"Cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol” has been listed as a cause of death for actress Elizabeth Peña, who died Tuesday.

Peña, 55, acted in Lone Star, and appeared in the hit show Modern Family, as well as many other productions.

Cardiopulmonary arrest, cardiogenic shock, and acute gastrointestinal bleeding were also listed causes of Peña’s unexpected death.
