LAUGHTER CHANGES HEARTS & MINDS ABOUT ADDICTION AND MENTAL ILLNESS THRU PROFESSIONAL STAND-UP COMEDY SHOWS

Chuckaholics, Inc Announces its Inaugural Event Customized for the Recovery Community

Irvine, CA —Chuckaholics, Inc. presents its first of many professional stand-up comedy shows with an ALL-STAR line-up on Sunday, November 11, 2018 @ 7PM. Doors open at 6PM for dinner.

Tickets affordably priced at $20 and on sale October 11, 2018.

VIP tickets available.

Six (6) non-drinking comedians take over the The Rec Room on Edinger in Huntington Beachfor an hour and seventy-five minutes of chuckles, guffaws and sputtering bursts.  The public will never see this unique line-up again.  These highly sought after performers are donating their time for this important cause and never before worked together in such a way.

Event is kid-friendly:  Those under the age of 18 may enjoy the adjacent vintage arcade room while the adults enjoy the show.

CHUCKAHOLICS, INC. was created in 2018 by Dana Cornelius to shine a light on the ongoing epidemic of substance abuse and mental disorders and to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that still plague these issues. Her inspiration came from her experience working in rehabs and her close friendship with actor/comedian, Barry Diamond, who will be in the line-up.

Event’s proceeds will support those in or seeking recovery.

“I have worked in the substance abuse treatment field and learned there is a great need for financial assistance for those who make too much money for Medi-Cal and not enough for quality policies that eliminate high deductibles and out of pocket costs. It’s a sad situation for our society when those struggling with addiction from any substance, whether it’s pain pills or alcohol, who truly want recovery for themselves and their families, cannot get access to the proper care. I want to help that population,” shares Dana Cornelius, Founder and Executive Director. She added, “None of this would be possible without the incredible support of the recovery community, their loved ones and most of all, my dear stand-up comedian friends.”

Chuckaholics will do everything within its means to lend a financial assistance.  Simple things like paying for transportation to medical appointments, meetings, or babysitting expenses, all add up and create a barrier between suffering and relief.
