In order to educate, it’s important to highlights individuals who have reclaimed their lives and are living happy and health lives on long-term recovery.

As part of this year’s National Recovery Month, Young People in Recovery — a movement to empower young people to find and maintain recovery — are sharing their stories via YouTube.

National Recovery Month also honors the treatment and recovery service providers who make recovery possible. Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.

All month, the group has been releasing personal video stories of recovery.
